HOW IT ALL BEGAN

 

Sowing Seeds Photography began with a prayer.

I knew God was calling me to write and speak, but as a single mom, I also needed a way to provide for my family while continuing to build that calling. For months, I prayed and asked God to show me how I could use what He had already placed in my hands.

Then one night, during a fast, I heard one word: Photography. So I took the next step and got the camera, built the website, studied lighting, did some research, got the business license, made the logo, started photographing families, and made it official.

Looking back, it makes perfect sense because I’ve always loved capturing the moments we wish we could hold onto a little bit longer. Much of that love came from my grandma, who went home to be with God at 96 years old. And as God would time it, that was the very week I was launching Sowing Seeds Photography...

WORK WITH ME

...We were blessed with many years with my grandma and have so many photographs together, but her passing reminded me of just how precious those photographs really would become.

Sadly that's not the case for everyone. We often think there will be more time. We stay behind the camera, put off family pictures, or wait for the “right” season to gather everyone together.

But these seasons don’t last forever, people grow, things change & sometimes we can miss capturing those moments all together. 

 

That’s why Sowing Seeds is about far more than taking beautiful photographs. It’s about preserving the story God is writing -the people, the heart, the season and the legacy being built right now.

And true to its name, every session sows into something beyond itself. It helps support the writing and speaking God has called me to, and 10% of every session is given to bless a single mom and her children.

So come as you are, gather the people you love, and let’s preserve a piece of the story God is writing in your family.

I schedule photoshoots during the week as well as the weekend. I do my best to to ensure your family’s unique needs are met with care and professionalism. Please email to find the best time for your shoot.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

Sowing Seeds Photography operates primarily in Southern California, capturing your lifestyle moments in beautiful natural settings or in the comfort of your home where we're able to get more intimate photos. Reach out to discuss your preferred location.

ARE DEPOSITS NEEDED?

Yes, deposits are required to secure your session date. I recommend booking in advance to ensure availability and a smooth planning process tailored to your family’s story. 

WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS DO YOU ACCEPT?

I accept various payment methods for your convenience, including credit cards and secure online payments. Detailed information will be provided upon booking your session.

HOW LONG IS THE TYPICAL WAIT FOR EDITED PHOTOS?

Delivery times may vary, but you can expect a professionally edited gallery of images back within 2-3 weeks after your session. I strive for quality and timeliness with every project and I can't wait to get your photos back to you to enjoy.

DO YOU HAVE A CANCELLATION POLICY?

I understand that plans change and kiddos get sick. Please notify me at least 48 hours before your session to reschedule or cancel. Specific policies will be discussed upon booking to ensure clarity and mutual respect.
